If you are seeking to improve your overall basketball game and maybe, eventually, be recruited as a scholarship level student-athlete, I hope you find this booklet helpful. The goal of this brief booklet is to give some honest advice to both the young players, their parents regarding and coaches on what a collegiate and/or professional coaching staff are looking for from a recruiting standpoint. In other words, what coaches will be looking for from your son or daughter who would like to compete at a high-level junior college, high-major division-1 level, and all of the levels in between. This booklet contains short stories and photos about some of the fantastic players whom I have coached. Please allow me, for a moment, to address my former players not yet included in this booklet. This is not due to my thinking you’re less valuable than your teammates who were mentioned. You’re just as special, I think of you often and God loves you. I am proud of you and I am sure that I will include you in future booklets! As I always told you, you are the most privileged and gifted young men in this world, however this world owes you nothing, only by having a strong moral character and excellent work ethic you will succeed! As I have also spent some time working as an N.B.A. scout, I have included a brief N.B.A. evaluation on a young Steven Adams, who is currently playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. If you are an N.B.A. prospect, the N.B.A. evaluation report may also give you a better understanding of how some N.B.A. personnel might be evaluating you.
